Over the period of April 6 to 13, 2019, the delegation of Thuringia State, led by Premier Bodo Ramelow, paid a working visit to Vietnam. The official working visit of Thuringia State Premier was a great success. Accompanying the Premier was a delegation with 106 members including political delegations and businesses in many fields, schools, hospitals,... Hanoi IEC Co., Ltd. is the coordinating and planning unit, making detailed plan for the entire mission for the time of the delegation in Vietnam. The State Premier and the delegation met with the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Government Office

At the Government Office, Mr. Bodo Ramelow and the delegation had a visit and two high-level talks with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

In Ho Chi Minh City, Party Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan also welcomed and held talks with the Premier of Thuringia State.

During this business trip to Vietnam, the delegation also had official meetings and worked with ministries, departments, and branches of Vietnam such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids, and Social Affairs,... The delegation also attended the Business Forum, visited and worked at a number of enterprises, hospitals, universities, colleges, research centers, training centers of Vietnam.

Business trip to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hold talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung welcomed the delegation. The two sides had a cooperation exchange at the headquarters of the Hanoi People's Committee

The Vietnamese side welcomed the Minister of Thuringia State and the delegation with the spirit of great respect, friendship, and cordiality. The two sides agreed to strengthen exchanges to create trust and closeness between the two countries. During talks and exchanges at all levels, Mr. Bodo Ramelow always emphasized that Vietnam is a dynamic developing economy, a strategic partner of Germany in general and of Thuringia in particular, and that he and the delegation of more than 100 people who came to Vietnam this time demonstrated their deep interest and desire to expand cooperation with Vietnam in many fields, including economics, trade, health, as well as cooperation in science and technology, education, training, and research. Businesses from Vietnam and the State of Thuringia joined in forums, roundtable talks, and business networking events.

The delegation worked and signed a memorandum of understanding at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The State of Thuringia officially became the guest of honor of the International Food Industry Exhibition - Vietnam Foodexpo 2019 held in October 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Visiting the University of Civil Engineering and attending the signing ceremony of the agreement between INNOVENT Institute of Technology Development and Viglacera Corporation, Institute of Research and Application of Tropical Building Materials to jointly carry out research and testing projects in gluing glass, and training technical staff in Germany.
