On Tuesday, April 20^th 2021, within the framework of the cooperation partner-seeking program to implement health projects of the Southern Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thuringa, Germany (IHK - Suedthueringen), Hanoi IEC - representative office of the State of Thuringia in Vietnam organised an online conference, “Online Business Mission – Medizintechnik”, with the aim of:

• Obtaining a general overview of the operating model in the health sector of Vietnam and Germany as well as the importance of building a network to exchange medical technologies between the two countries.

• Exchanging of cooperation opportunities between hospitals in Vietnam and Hospitals in Germany

• Discussing cooperation opportunities between businesses operating in the health sector.

This is the opening conference for a series of events that will be held in the near future, opening up opportunities for cooperation and development between institutions in the medical field of Vietnam and Germany. Online Business Mission – Medizintechnik was held on a network platform with the participation of:

• Representative of the German Trade and Investment Promotion Organization;

• Representative of the economic development office of the State of Thuringia – Germany;

• Representative of Vietnam Medical Equipment Association;

• Greifswald University Hospital and Marienstiftklinik Hospital Germany;

• Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital, Viet Tiep Hai Phong Hospital;

• Representing more than 20 enterprises in Vietnam and Germany;

• Hanoi IEC Co., Ltd – The unit in charge of organising and coordinating the conference.

After the general discussion, businesses conducted B2B meetings to introduce the company as well as learn more about their partners, thereby opening up exciting cooperation opportunities in the future. Following the success of the event, in the coming July, Hanoi IEC will continue to carry out trade promotion activities between the two countries in the field of Mechanical Engineering in Ho Chi Minh City as well as a Medical Equipment Conference in Da Nang.
