Thuringia State Vocational Training Scholarship 2018

On April 25, the representative of IHK Chamber of Commerce and Industry –  Suedthueringen (Germany) together with representatives of 18 large enterprises had a meeting, exchange and information exchange with Vietnamese students at Pacific Hotel, Hanoi.

The program is within the framework of the visit and work with businesses, economic organizations and vocational training schools in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from April 23, 2018 to April 28, 2018, under with the support of Hanoi IEC Co., Ltd - the commercial and cultural representative of Thuringia state. This is the second time this event has been held to meet the wishes of German businesses as well as vocational training schools in Vietnam about training a team of professional and advanced intellectuals.

According to reported studies, by 2030 in the state of Thuringa there will be a shortage of more than 300,000 workers in key occupations. Therefore, since 2016,  IHK – Suedthueringen has brought 100% scholarships for Vietnamese students in order to find human resources, and at the same time open up new cooperation opportunities, helping many young people. Vietnamese youth fulfill their dream of finding a career according to their passion in a world-class training environment.

In 2018, IHK will grant 40 scholarships in the fields of Engineering, Mechanics, Food Processing and Industrial Garment. With this program, future apprentices will be fully supported with the cost of learning German to B2 level at Hanoi IEC before going to Germany to attend a 3-year vocational training course. During their study time in Germany, students will have the opportunity to study with a dual training program, a famous German vocational training program with 40% of the theoretical time and 60% of the time practice in enterprises. After finishing the course, the trainees will have 100% job opportunities at German companies, practice training and enjoy the same labor regimes as the citizens of the host country.
